NERO HOMME

Als ich zu Tode gelangweilt im Plastikzelt der Fashion Week vor mich hin vegetierte, kamen auf einmal drei Mädels auf mich zu und fanden irgendwas an mir toll, wodurch wir ins Gespräch gerieten. Nach ein paar Minuten stellte sich heraus, dass sie Redakteure bei Nero Homme sind. Und so geriet ich an eines von nur 1000 Exemplaren der ersten Edition. Erhältlich ist diese aber auch bspw. im XXX Berlin (Kreuzberg). Titel des Erstlings: Body Confidence, der beeindruckende Fotografien, die u.a. von Zoltán Tombor und Fannie Latour Lambert geschossen wurden, wie auch zur Abwechslung wirklich lesenswerte Interviews mit Modedesignern (Alexandra Groover, Jen Gilpin von DSTM), Musikern (Chrysta Bell, Emika) und Künstlern (Millie Brown) beinhaltet.
Das erste Magazin, das nicht aufgesetzt hipsterig oder mainstreamig wirkt, sondern düstere, schwer erkenntliche, extravagante und teils fetischistisch-sexistisch angehauchte Fotostrecken und spannende Interviews bietet. Zum Beispiel taucht die Frage auf: "Do you believe in any occult phenomenon?". 

Gott sei Dank kein Vogue-Blabla und keine Fotostrecken mit ausgekotzten Austauschbaren in austauschbarer Shitwear.

When I was bored out of my mind sitting in the plastic tent of MBFW, three girls started talking to me. After a few minutes they mentioned that they're editors at Nero Homme and gave me a copy. This way I got one of 1000 limited exemplars of the first edition. It's available for instance at XXX Berlin. The title: Body Confidence, which includes impressive photographs of Zoltán Tombor or Fannie Latour Lambert, as well as worth reading interviews with fashion designers (Alexandra Groover, Jen Gilpin of DSTM), musicians (Chrysta Bell, Emika) and artists (Millie Brown).

It's the first mag not having a hipster touch or mainstream appeal, but featuring extraordinary and partly fetishistic/sexistic photographs and well done interviews. For instance there are questions like: "Do you believe in any occult phenomen?" . Thank God for NO Vogue-Blablabla and no photo section with exchangable models in exchangable shitwear.
